Stratigraphical criteria in the palynology of the Neogene.

Summary: A review of difficulties in the stratigraphical interpretation of the Neogene pollen flora is presented. The factors influencing the picture of pollen diagrams are shown. On the basis of the palynological investigations of the Neogene sediments from Poland the most significant criteria to estimate the age of pollen floras of the Miocene and Pliocene are defined.
